Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
GlideGuard is a financial technology platform that helps SSI and SSDI recipients track their countable asset balances against the $2,000 SSI limit. We are currently in a waitlist phase — the full product has not yet launched publicly.
GlideGuard is operated by Polsia, Inc. We can be reached at glideguard@polsia.app.
2. What data we collect today
We currently collect only one type of personal data: email addresses. You provide your email when you sign up for the waitlist. We do not collect names, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, bank information, or any financial data during the waitlist phase.
We also collect standard anonymous usage data — pages visited, time on page, general geographic region — through analytics software. This data cannot identify you personally.
3. How we use your email
We use your email address for one purpose: to notify you when GlideGuard launches and to send occasional product updates. We will not spam you. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell your email address to anyone. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How we store and protect your data
Your email address is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (a cloud database provider). The database uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
No security system is perfect. If we ever become aware of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly by email.
5. Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate GlideGuard:
- Neon — cloud database hosting (stores your email)
- Render — web hosting platform (runs our application)
- Google Fonts — loads fonts for our website (may log your IP address)
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling services.
6. Future data collection (forward-looking)
When the full GlideGuard product launches, it will handle sensitive financial data including benefit type (SSI/SSDI), countable asset balances, ABLE account information, and Trial Work Period progress. It may also integrate with financial institutions through services like Plaid.
This data will not be collected until you create a full account and explicitly consent to it. We will update this Privacy Policy — and notify you — before collecting any sensitive financial information. Financial data will be encrypted, access-controlled, and never sold.
7. Children's privacy (COPPA)
GlideGuard is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this service. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your data — email us and we'll remove you from our systems within 7 days
- Correct inaccurate data
- Opt out of communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us directly
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at glideguard@polsia.app. We will respond within 10 business days.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify waitlist members by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of GlideGuard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
